Such an easy and convenient way to not only back up photos from all of life’s holidays, events, and wonderful memories, but a gift to those that are unable to be present during those times. This is a staple for those that do not live close to their family and friends, and is such an easy way to catch up with one another.

Holiday Gifts from Groupon Goods

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.

One of my go-to sites for gifts all year round surprises many when I tell them. Groupon Goods is one of the first places that I go when I’m looking for something fun, functional, unique and affordable when I’m shopping. In fact, I do a lot of my own personal shopping there. At work I wear a lot of tunics and sweaters, and when a co-worker asks where I got them from they were initially shocked when I said Groupon Goods, now they can answer themselves.

Here are some of my favorite staples for this fall and winter, all purchased at great rates from Groupon Goods. I have both long sleeve and short sleeve tunics that I live in.

One of the items that are on my wish list from Groupon Goods are these adorable blanket scarves! A must have for the Northeast winters.

I’ve also shopped Groupon Goods for gifts for my husband. They have great shoes, sweatshirts, socks, I’ve even purchased a fantastic Invicta Watch for him from Groupon Goods before.

There are so many choices for kids at Groupon Goods too! From clothes, to accessories, school supplies, and toys, you name it, it’s all there! Some top picks for this holiday are playdoh, a tent from Discovery Kids, and some magnetic blocks! Oh and these super adorable Mickey Mouse earrings.

New Moms Meet Babybit

We have been provided with the following information to share with our readers.

New Moms Meet Babybit — World’s First Smart + Mobile Baby Monitor Designed With You in Mind

You know that we love sharing with you those must-have items that make a Mom’s life much easier. It’s crazy out there and navigating the world with small kiddos is no small feat. I’ve shared my must-have essentials for Surviving The First Year shortly after we successfully got through our first year with Abby.  While Abby is going to be 3 soon, I still have to share those items that make life a little better.
We are connected all day, every day – why not use your connection to reassure those nagging mom-guilt moments!

Babybit is perfect for Moms On-The-Go!

As much as we would like to, it’s nearly impossible to be with your kids every second of every day. Whether you’re working, traveling, or simply out and about getting things done for the rest of the family, while you’re out and about you still want the peace of mind that your child is safe and well taken care of. This is especially true for new moms and moms with infants.
I recently partnered with BabyBit, a groundbreaking new smart + mobile baby monitor that’s launching via an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign soon and helping moms around the world stay connected to their babies while they’re away.
BabyBit provides parents with real-time mobile updates on their baby’s location, status, and general well-being. The updates are configurable, insightful and actionable so that parents aren’t inundated with information that they can’t use. Some things that BabyBit can do that other monitors don’t include:

Notify the parent when the baby is dropped off or picked up by a caregiver

You won’t have to wait on a text or phone call to know that the baby got picked up from daycare on time and is headed to grandma’s house. With a quick glance at your mobile notifications, your mind can be put at ease.

Alert the parent when the baby is crying for an extended period or unable to be consoled

If you’re not at home, it does you no good to know every single time the baby cries, but with BabyBit you can set your notifications to alert you if the baby’s been crying for a period of time that you think is too long or unusual.

Detect when the baby is sleeping on its stomach and alert both the caregiver and the parent

Should the baby roll over on its stomach during a nap, the caregiver will be alerted immediately. If the baby stays on its stomach (for a period of time that you set), you’ll be notified as well.

The App Has It All

Aside from the notifications, there are more details available within the app. There you can see if the baby is awake or asleep and content or crying. You can also get insights into how attentive the caregiver is and what the baby’s disposition has been while they’ve been with the caregiver.
You can see a video of BabyBit in action here.

I’m encouraging you to support their Indiegogo campaign, which launched yesterday, 6/20: The faster they reach their goal, the faster you can get your hands on a BabyBit.  It’s a must have for any mom with a young baby (and it would make a great gift)!
For more information about BabyBit and to sign up for their email updates, please visit
You can also find them on Facebook & Twitter
In the meantime, I’d love to hear what you think about BabyBit and any tips you might have for moms on the go to stay connected to their babies when they can’t be with them.

Must Have Everyday Essentials with ChapStick®

ChapStick® Is Our Household Staple

One of the brands that have been a household name for us since as long as I can remember is ChapStick®. I have been using their products to moisturize my lips since I was a child. Of course, my love started with the good old original classic ChapStick®. I love their additional flavors in that line; cherry, strawberry, and spearmint.  The classic line defends lips against the drying effects of wind and cold weather.

Get An Extra Boost

This winter has been pretty tough, it’s March and it just snowed the other day! I feel like the fluctuations between warming up and staying cold have wreaked havoc on my sinuses, which also wreak havoc on my lips when I feel under the weather. When I need that extra boost of hydration, ChapStick® Medicated quickly soothes and seals in moisture with a light, protective barrier to help heal dry, chapped lips.

ChapStick® Has A Wide Variety

The two that I mentioned above ar ethe ones that I gravitate towards this time of year, but I love all the other lines they cary as well:

o   ChapStick® Classic Range: Original, Strawberry, Cherry, and Spearmint varieties

o   ChapStick® Moisturizer: Raspberry Crème, Original, Green Apple, and Vanilla Mint varieties

o   ChapStick® Tropical Paradise Collection: Mango Sunrise and Aloha Coconut varieties

o   ChapStick® Sun Defense

o   ChapStick® Medicated

The ChapStick® Moisturizer line is good all year round, any day and every day.  Same can be said about ChapStick® Sun Defense.  I do really love the ChapStick® Tropical Paradise Collection’s flavors. They remind me of the summer and take me there when we are stuck in this dreary cold weather.

Their seasonal flavors are pretty incredible too.  Coming soon are Aloha Coconut & Mango Sunrise. The Aloha Coconut can be hard to find as it is available exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide. Mango Sunrise is available at mass retailers and drug stores nationwide.

Follow along on all of their channels to learn more about their products!

Top Must Haves For Toddler’s Nighttime Routine

Toddlers & Bedtime

Two year olds don’t want to sleep. Why sleep when they want to play? “Just 1 more TV show?” or “Just a couple more minutes?” are phrases often asked when that time is approaching. Abby knows that typically Daddy is the one to ask. Daddy typically gives in and lets her have just a couple more minutes. Mommy is a stickler.

We realized that giving in to those requests not only sets us up for future issues, but is not good for her health.  She needs to rest, she needs the downtime. So we decided to start a bedtime routine that works.

Step 1: Prep

Potty, bath, and brushing our teeth signals the start to bed time. One of the things that has really helped to trigger that signal to Abby is lotion. I received a wonderful gift set when I was pregnant. Basq for Disney Baby came out with an It’s A Small World skincare line for mom & baby.

basq loving touch set

In that set is a lavender lotion that Abby actually requests every night. She’s like a little princess too saying “on my legs please!” then “and my arms please!” This was a ritual that started when she was a baby. Working full-time in an industry that is about beauty and wellness, I’ve learned through our instructors and massage therapists how important and powerful touch is.

Step 2: Shut Down with a Show

Another ritual is to watch 1 show in bed with us before it’s time for bed herself. Typically it’s anything on Disney Jr. or Sprout. Usually it’s Kate and Mim Mim or Maya The Bee. She usually decides to bring all of her friends with her.

show before sleep with friends

Step 3: Book

must have bedtime book

After the 1 show, it is then time for 2-3 quick books.  We always read Good Night Moon, but she gets to pick 1 or 2 extras. One of her favorites is a Disney Princess: A Magical Pop-Up World that is absolutely stunningly gorgeous.

Step 4: Lights

cloud b lights

True story, she has lots of stars that are on her ceiling. Thanks to cloud b! She is obsessed and all of them must be turned on.

Cloud B Twilight Turtle

Step 5: Sounds

After going through probably 3 sound machines when she was an infant as they would break in like a month, we finally found the one that has held up strong! We love it. It’s the Graco Sweet Slumber Sound Machine. It’s very simple and easy to use. It has 12 different sounds/lullabies, a nightlight, and a plug in for an mp3 player.  Unlike the ones before it that were lucky to last a month, this has been holding strong since she was 4 months old.

Step 6: Friends & Blankies

Somebody's in a big girl bed, although she likes to put pillows over her head.

At this point she gets into bed with all of her friends and the 3 blankies she has to have and it’s lights out. The reason she switched over to her “big girl bed” (or the crib converted over) is because she wanted to sleep with a pillow. My concern was her suffocating herself, and as you can see, she does like to put the pillows on her head.

That concludes our must-haves for a restful slumber.
